the house

This French chateau-inspired stately home was built in 1771 as a wedding gift to Jovia Malfoy from her husband, Philippe. It remained in the Malfoy family until the mid-19th century, when it was purchased at a staggering price by property magnate Theoden Nott, whose wife used the house as a venue for hosting society events. It was eventually sold to Zephyrine Kama's grandfather in the late 1940s and inherited by the witch on her seventeenth birthday. Kama, whose primary residence is in London, made the property her summer home, and she began a series of rennovations to turn the house into the location for the creme de la creme's exclusive parties. By the early 2000s, the Acres was synonymous with opulence and debauchery.

The house itself appears to be an average stately home in size, but rennovations over the past century by wizard architects have vastly expanded its interiors. The style and design of each room has been updated with a modern twist, all while still maintaining the integrity of the original French inspiration. Most of the interiors are bright and airy, with lots of natural light and warm aesthetic, and guests will find that Kama has left no room untouched by autumn decor. Suites each have their own bathrooms, equipped with a free-standing tub and a rainfall shower, and guests will discover their individual suite has the faint fragrance of their own amortentia scents. The four parlours are subtly-themed, each representing one of the four seasons, and all four have unique yet equally stunning views of the grounds. Meals and laundry are provided by a staff of house elves, who, in true elf fashion, are rarely seen or heard.

the acres

The entire estate is situated on 3500 rolling acres in Wiltshire, England. It can be found on a map approximately seven miles northeast of Marlborough, a small market town which boasts a thriving wizard community alongside its muggle population. The Savernake Forest is close by, and other places of interest located within reasonable distance include Stonehenge, Lacock Abbey, and Longleat Adventure Park. To the untrained muggle eye, the Acres simply looks like the dilapidated remains of an old dairy farm. The hilly, sprawling grounds are rife with plant life and tall trees, which provide some of the most breathtaking fall foliage in the area and make for especially scenic horseback riding. The gardens, however, are perhaps Zephyrine Kama's proudest gem, and one will find a multitude of magical flowers, shrubs, & succulents, some of which bloom year-round.
